This tattoo started out as a cover up/ rework of a lower back butterfly design. I redrew the butterfly in the center a bit larger, and extended the swirlies around some skull details. After adding the faerie up top, I had an afterthought as I was coloring the wings, and decided to surprise her with the skull details within the wings themselves, and it is now my favorite part of the piece!
